Welcome to Swiss School Rahn Education El Gouna

Rahn Education Swiss International School El Gouna is a school with a distinct Swiss profile.

The school operates under the patronage of the Canton of Uri and follows Curriculum 21. We combine the quality and values of the Swiss education system with an international and open-minded learning environment in El Gouna, Egypt.

At the same time, we meet the requirements of the Egyptian curriculum, as far as they are relevant for international schools. In this way, we ensure that our students not only receive a high-quality Swiss education, but are also well connected to the local context.

History of Rahn Education & Our Network

Our Story & Network
Rahn Education is a long-established educational organisation based in Leipzig, Germany. For more than 30 years, we have been committed to holistic and future-oriented education in Germany and abroad.

In El Gouna, Rahn Education has been active for over 20 years. With the German-Egyptian Hotel Management School, which prepares young people for successful careers in hospitality and tourism, we have established a strong presence in Egypt’s educational landscape.

To further strengthen our international education projects, Rahn Education also founded a company in Zug, Switzerland. Today, we are institutionally anchored not only in Germany and Egypt but also in Switzerland.

Beyond our institutions in El Gouna, Rahn Education operates a wide network of schools and educational institutions – from music schools in Germany to international schools such as the Swiss School of Milan.

This network creates valuable synergies through:

  • exchange of pedagogical expertise and teaching staff,
  • joint international projects and encounters, and
  • strong support built on decades of experience in education.

With the establishment of the Rahn Education Swiss International School El Gouna, we build on this extensive experience. We combine the stability and quality of an established educational network with the pioneering spirit of a growing school that offers children and young people in El Gouna and beyond a truly unique educational opportunity.

Patron Canton

Our patron canton, the Canton of Uri, supports us in shaping our educational direction and ensures that we operate in accordance with the Swiss Curriculum 21.
This partnership provides a strong connection to the Swiss educational landscape and gives our school a clear and distinctive profile.

In addition, we maintain close exchange with other Swiss schools abroad, such as the Swiss School Milan, and are part of a growing international network.

As a young and developing school, we are continuously seeking to build further partnerships, particularly in the fields of sustainability, IT, and culture.
Through these collaborations, we aim to create additional learning opportunities and experiences for our students and to establish our school firmly within a strong local and international community.

Our Partnerships

Abitur in Germany - CAMPUS IN THE NEUZELLE ABBEY

LIVING AND LEARNING IN GERMANY

As part of Rahn Education, students of the Swiss International School Rahn Education El Gouna have the opportunity to continue their educational journey in Germany after completing Grade 10.
Through a long-standing cooperation agreement between Rahn Education in Egypt and the Rahn Gymnasium in Stift Neuzelle, our students can transfer to our partner school and complete the German Abitur.

The Rahn Gymnasium is located in the historic Neuzelle Abbey and includes a modern boarding school, providing students with a safe and inspiring living and learning environment.
Classes in both El Gouna and Neuzelle follow the curriculum of the state of Brandenburg, ensuring a smooth academic transition.

Since 2014, many students from Rahn Education schools have successfully completed their Abitur in Neuzelle.
Students transferring from El Gouna benefit from preferential boarding and school fees, making this pathway an attractive option for those wishing to pursue their secondary education in Germany.
